I deconstructed these denim fragments - removing the weft by hand from the twill weave to transform the fabric and reveal the history of it's creation and use. The denim fragments are front section of jeans that belonged to my father who passed away in 2008. The works were the final part of a memorial project dedicated to my father that included quilts and embroidered work made with his clothing along with sculpture and installation pieces.
